Taking quite a different tack from the lush florals and chunky chains that populate fashion editorials this season, vertical linear designs present a significant trend in earrings. To some extent, this is a variation on the Y-shaped necklace designs of which I wrote previously. Most of the styles hang free from the base of the earrings; others are rigid vertical designs. In every case, they cause the eye to sweep up and down.
